A long-time current design and much nicer-looking than the other minimalist graphic plates out there (Maryland comes to mind). Still...I'm always in favor of new plate issues, and would be in this case as well.

This is a commercial truck plate, as evidenced by the two-letter suffix. The interesting thing about this plate is that it was sent to me by a friend from Kansas. The bugs that I left on the plate decided to join the trip somewhere along the way, I imagine.

There are a few jurisdictions in North America that issue different-looking plates for vanities -- South Carolina and Louisiana come to mind -- and British Columbia is one of them. As far as the message of this plate, it must have originally belonged to someone who longed for either a Trans Am or an ampersand.
