FL City
This is an older City type. The newer ones have the "City" legend at the bottom.
FL Trailer
I originally thought this was a Trailer plate, but now I'm not really sure what this is. I will say that the 'green map' Florida plate is one of my favorites of all time.
FL
This type of plate is supposedly only used on tow trucks and hearses, but in fact came off a mobile drill rig that I worked on for two summers.
FL
This fairly damaged plate is a Registration Only, for vehicles with out-of-state titles.
FL
This plate is interesting for two reasons - one, Putnam county is home to some of my relatives, and two, the double zeros on the right-hand side of the plate.
FL Collectible
This plate was issued to vehicles 20 years old or older, but I understand these plates were discontinued in 1999 due to people abusing the classification to get lower registration fees.
older FSU
old FSU
new FSU
I was born in Tallahassee and have been a lifelong Seminoles fan, so it's no wonder I've got one of each of the three FSU issues in my collection. The third issue is the newest, issued in 1999 or 2000.
FL Antique
This is the successor to the Collectible plate shown above, which presumably makes it difficult or impossible to register a 'daily driver' with this kind of plate. Something to be said for simple, colorful, all-embossed plates...especially in Florida, which is overrun with full-color optionals.
