GA 89
This is the less-than-striking Georgia issue from the late 80s, issued from 1983 to 1990.
GA 96
This is the 'Peach' issue that followed the green-on-white, and was issued before and after the Olympic issue from 1990 to 1997.
GA Olympic
This is a fairly uncommon all-numeric Olympic issue. Many of these were issued, but most had at least one alpha character and five characters total. These were valid from 1994-1997.
GA trailer
Another one of those plates where you need to know what the letter prefixes mean. In this case, it's a not-for-hire truck, and the 'X' indicates what I think is a very heavy weight class. Great colors for a truck plate, at any rate.
GA 01
This baseplate started out in the ABC 123 format you see here when it was introduced in 1997, but changed over to a 1234 ABC format after the ZZZ series was completed. There were some other variations issued as well. Thanks to Aim for donating this to the collection, and for the humorous take on the 'MMF' suffix.
GA 2005
This is the next baseplate, first issued near the end of 2003. Georgia is one of a growing number of states that are introducing new baseplates only to new registrants; renewal registrations will continue to sticker the "...on my mind" baseplate above due to fiscal belt tightening.
