This is the Maryland baseplate that was in use from 1976 through 1980. This particular plate is an aluminum plate; this material was used in place of steel from the late Fxx series through the late Gxx series.

This is a variation of the (still!) current baseplate that signified Maryland's 350th Anniversary in 1984. Trying to figure out what's going on with the two different '86 stickers...not to mention the fact that the optional plate below shares the same three-letter suffix! Very strange.

This was one of the very first optional issues in the US, issued in 1990. It was a great-looking plate then, but compared to the other graphic plates available in the US now, this one is looking pretty long in the tooth.
