This is one of the strangest plate types in my collection: D.A.D. stands for Dead Animal Delivery. No idea why they'd need a special plate for that reason. |

This is the Missouri passenger issue that darkened the bumpers of vehicles registered in that state from 1980 until 1996. There is a raised-edge box in the center of the plate for the registration sticker, but at least in later years of this issue, the sticker had no chance of fitting in the box (like on this plate). |

Interestingly, Missouri issued vanity plates on the maroon-and-white base through 1983, but switched to this color scheme for vanities in 1984. Note that the sticker box has been laid on its side and placed at the top of the plate. This vanity plate was owned by a Dr. Pepper fan...probably not enough of a hint that it stands for "Just What the Dr. Ordered." Thanks to Mrs. "Meganuke" for donating this one to the collection. |

This is a current Missouri passenger plate, first issued in 1996. Fairly plain, but a far cry from its white-on-maroon predecessor that had been around for what seemed like forever. |
