Nunavut was borne out of the eastern portion of the Northwest Territories, and adopted the same bear-shaped plate used by that province, with the exception of the 'Nunavut' legend instead of 'Northwest Territories.' Since there are so few cars, sample Nunavut plates like this one are expected to outnumber the real ones by a very large margin.
