NY blue on orange
This is the once-ubiquitous blue-on-orange base that was in use from 1974 to 1986. This plate most likely dates from the early 1980s, after the change from 123-ABC to 1234-ABC format.

This is another Young Family Special. Thanks again!

NY Liberty
This is the recently-replaced Liberty base that was in use from 1986 through 2000.
NY 2000
This is the Liberty replacement that was issued starting in January, 2001. This base marked a return to the "The Empire State" slogan after a 38-year absence, as well as the addition of the state-shaped separator and narrower dies for the serial. Nice-looking plate.
NY Maritime College
This is one of the more scarce optional plates issued in New York...logic would dictate that these plates started at 100NYM, so this would be the 37th set issued, and I think they've been available for at least a few years. This plate is a Young Family Special going the other way, and resides in their garage, as the Mister is a NYM College grad.
