This plate is not much to look at, but true to its name, it has three month stickers and one year sticker. Not sure what the TH prefix denotes. |

This was an optional plate issued in 1985 that features the Seal of the Commonwealth of Virginia. It was issued from number 500-000 to 750-000. |

This is an older "landscape-style" graphic plate, but is still one of my favorites. It was first issued in 1992. |

The top plate adds a commemorative legend in red to the then-current baseplate, commemorating the 400th anniversary of the first English settlement in Jamestown, VA. These plates started with the JAA series (for Jamestown, perhaps?), working forward through the alphabet rather than backwards, as on the previous baseplate. The bottom plate is the slight update to the top plate which changes the state name from blue to red. Based on the same-month expiry of these two plates, I'm guessing that changeover occurred at the JBA or JCA series. |

I know I'm getting away from special-issue plates, but I had no choice but to include this one. You know your state has all the special interests covered when they issue a "Bowler" plate. |
